Dr Muneer Ahamed, MBBS, MD, MRCP,  is a Consultant Endocrinologist.

Dr Ahmad is a product of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Peradeniya where he obtained his MBBS in 2008 and MD in Medicine from the University of Colombo in 2016. He selected Endocrinology as his subspecialty. His chief local training centre was the Diabetes and Endocrinology unit of National Hospital Kandy under Dr C. N. Antonypillai. Subsequently, he proceeded to his overseas training at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham with Dr Niki Karavitaki being the chief supervisor.

Dr Ahmad has previously worked as Consultant Endocrinologist at DGH Nawalapitiya and DGH Kegalle. He has been part of research publications and case reports in local and international journals.
