Dr Sharmika Sivageethan, MBBS, MD, is a Senior registrar in Endocrinology at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna in 2014 and obtained her MD in 2023 from the Post-graduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, winning the Dr .P. T De Silva Gold Medal for Clinical Medicine.

Her research interests include obesity, diabetes and osteoporosis.
