Dr Gayana Amiyangoda, MBBS, MD, MRCP(UK), MRCP(Diabetes and Endocrinology) is a consultant endocrinologist and a Senior lecturer at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya.

She obtained her MBBS from the faculty of medicine, University of Peradeniya in 2011 and obtained her MD in 2018. She underwent her overseas training at the Oxford Center for Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM) NHS Foundation Trust, UK from 2022 to 2024.

She has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals to her credit. She serves as a member of the StEP D project, a project of SLCE.

Her research interests include Lipidology, Therapeutic Endocrinology, Thyroid Diseases and Diabetes in Pregnancy.
