Dr Chaminda Garusinghe, MBBS, MD, MRCP,  FACE, FSLCE, is a Consultant Endocrinologist attached to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Sri Lanka.

He holds Specialty Certificate in Diabetes & Endocrinology, UK and he is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.

He had served for NHS UK as a speciality Registrar in Endocrinology in Cardiff and London, UK.

Dr Chaminda was the President of the Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists from 2021 – 2022. He held the treasurer of the Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists from 2017-2018. 

He is the Project lead of the Structured Education Program for adults with Type 1 Diabetes (StEP D), one of the projects of the SLCE.

He has many publications in the field of Endocrinology in peer-reviewed journals.
